How do we help and what do You have to do?


You find out that You have a problem with Your engine.
(f.i. It overheats or does not start) 
  

1.      Write down Your exact position in accordance with the GPS system. (Longitude and latitude) 
  
         Due to possible electricity problems the GPS system might turn off before You contact the Sea-Help 
          intervention central.
  

2.      Dial this number on Your mobile phone: 00385 62 200 000. 
  
         If You are logged in a Croatian web, You can dial the following number: 062 200 000. 
         If You don’t have a mobile network, call via VHF radio channel 16 Sea Help. 
         If Sea Help does not respond (VHF has no wide coverage), call Radio Rijeka or Radio Split and 
         
ask for Sea Help. 
         The captains at the hotline speak Croatian, German, English and Italian! 
  

3.       When You get through to the Sea-Help central, You will be asked the following: 


         1. What is Your problem?
         2. Is somebody hurt?
         3. Are You anchored or in a harbour?
         4. Do You drift in the water?
         5. Are You drifting towards a coast?
         6. Are You a member of Sea-Help? 
  
         After these questions Your priority will be established!
 
         7. Declare Your position (longitude and latitude according to the GPS system).
         8. A Sea-Help intervention boat will be with You in app. ....... minutes.
 
4.       Call attention to yourself when the Sea-Help intervention boat is near You!
 
5.       Show the Sea-Help captain Your Members-card and the boat documents!
 
6.       In case You need additional services, please ask how much they would cost.
 
7.       Pay only after You received a Sea-Help bill. 
  
         The ways of payment are: CASH or with credit card (Master, Visa, AMEX)
