Croatia from above: Krk, Punat
The epicente of nautical tourism in Croatia is situated on the island of Krk, in the town of Punat. Nautical tourism left its roots here back in 1964. with the funding of Marina Punat. Just a few minutes away from the Marina, SeaHelp is situated on the adress Obala 68. All SeaHelp interventions across the Adriatic are coordinated from here. One of the many intervention vessels, of the leading sea assistance in Europe, is situated here.
Sailing into the wind and wave-protected Puntarska Draga bay, special care should be directed towards the speed of the vessel and numerous swimmers. Swimmers often cross the marked area and reach the navigable waterways during summer months.
Punat, the unofficial „capital city of croatian nautic toursim“, offers boaters and sea lovers a greatly built infrastructure. Just a few dozen kilometers away from Punat is the Rijeka Airport.
Good connection is also provided via roads; „Krèki most“ bridge which links the island of Krk with the land is connected to the highway.
