SeaHelp travel guide: Marina Tribunj, a model marina in Dalmatia
Clean, well-maintained and recommendable – these are the ratings on the Internet about the Marina Tribunj. 220 moorings, in the immediate vicinity of the old town and the Kornati and Krka national parks right on the doorstep, make this marina so attractive. Especially the setting in the evening, when it is difficult for the viewer’s eye to decide where to look – towards the sea and the setting sun, or directing the view towards the picturesque old town centre – creates the special ambience of this location probably unique in Damatia.
Early after its completion in 2004, the local authorities acknowledged the effort invested in the design of this well thought-out marina: Shortly after its inauguration, the marina already complied with all the requirements of a category 1 marina, was awarded the Blue Flag for acting in a highly environmentally aware manner and was selected marina of the year in Croatia.
However, in contrast with many other marinas, the operators succeeded in maintaining these high standards, there is no investment backlog to be seen to date. To make sure that guests lack for absolutely nothing, the renowned service company Merk & Merk is taking care of the ships‘ technical welfare while the marina-owned restaurant Pink Keel is dealing with the creature comforts of visitors and permanent guests. Additional accomodation is provided in the form of high-quality equipped rooms and apartments at the Marinahotel Tribunj.
Apart from a filling station (only diesel), fresh water and electricity as well as cable TV and Wi-Fi (free) can be obtained at the moorings, furthermore, there is a well-maintained sanitary area and a sufficient number of washing rooms.
