Bluebox Storage, registered in the Commercial Register as Ecotherm1 d.o.o and a wholly owned subsidiary of Pankiewicz & Becker GmbH based in Munich, licensee of the internationally active car rental Avis \/ Budget Group, has discovered a gap in the market as a second pillar and now rents out storage space in Croatia – initially only in Istria, but an expansion of the service area is already being considered.<\/p>\n

“For more than 35 years, we have been successful in Germany as a service provider for the rental of vehicles in the family network with ten branches in the greater Munich area”<\/em>, says company CEO Rainer Pankiewicz.<\/p>\n

From now on there is a storage option for everyone with Blue Box in Istria<\/h2>\n

As a “senior managing partner”, the entrepreneur has already lived in Croatia for three years and has noticed during this time “that there are no possibilities here to store personal belongings properly”. That is why he decided to offer a “storage facility for everyone” as a “second mainstay”, initially in Istria.<\/p>\n

It was begun this year with the supply of euro grid boxes with a volume starting from a cubic meter (exact dimensions L\/W\/H: 124 x 84 x 97 cm) for the price starting from 25 euro\/month in a clean, safe resounds in Visnjan, only 1.5 km far away from the freeway exit of the same name No. 4 in the direction of Porec. The size of the boxes corresponds to the load volume of a larger station wagon.<\/p>\n

In addition, there are currently 31 secure parking spaces in the outdoor facility for trailers with sport boats up to ten meters in length. In summer, boat owners can store their winter tarpaulins, heaters and dry containers at Blue Box in Visnjan – and in winter, for example, all water toys and sports equipment.<\/p>\n

“We know that there is a further need for secure, covered, dry and clean storage space also for larger items such as bicycles, scooters, motorcycles, classic cars, caravans, motorhomes, sports boats, jet skis, inflatable boats and so on,”<\/em> says Pankiewicz. And: the more the E-technology in the vehicles would find its way, the weight plays an important role in the range during a longer trip.<\/p>\n

That’s why his company, Blue Box, will “significantly expand” its services starting in the spring of 2024, Pankiewicz says. Everything that does not find a place in the boat or in the apartment, or what should not be taken home from vacation every time, could then simply remain in Croatia and be stored there.<\/p>\n
