When, in German-speaking countries, the deepest winter rest still reigns in terms of boating, a few kilometers further south in Croatia, regatta operations are already in full swing. SeaHelp provided support for the ILCA dinghy races (formerly known as Laser) off Pula in mid-February.<\/strong><\/p>\n

SeaHelp not only offers comprehensive all-round protection for almost any problem that can affect a skipper and his crew on the water, as demonstrated by a special operation in February on the still wintery fresh water off Pula in Croatia.<\/p>\n

This time it was not about towing assistance, start-up assistance, fuel service, spare parts delivery, towing free in the event of slight grounding, clearing lines in the propeller, passenger transport, weather and area advice or telephone support in a medical emergency, but about securing a youth regatta in the ILCA class<\/a> (International Laser Class Association; formerly known in competitive sports as Laser).<\/p>\n

SeaHelp provided one of its powerfully motorized, maneuverable inflatable boats to secure the regatta.<\/h2>\n

The boat served as a “buoy layer”, for example, and as a referee boat, and of course the boat crew always kept an eye on the sailors and their boats to make sure they were not harmed.<\/p>\n

The best sailor in the smaller class on Saturday, and therefore the best in the entire regatta, was local hero Edi Jurman. He won the first two races and came in third in the third, and since there was no fourth race to eliminate the worst result, he took the victory with five penalty points.<\/p>\n

One place behind him, with only one point difference, is the sailor of JK Opatija \u2013 Maro Bratonja. He won the third race and took second and third place in the first two.<\/p>\n
