SeaHelp, Europe’s largest breakdown and rescue service for recreational boating in non-life-threatening situations, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. This will be celebrated on June 7, 2025, at SeaHelp headquarters in Punat, Croatia. Exceptionally, there will therefore be no service from June 6 to 8, 2025.<\/p>\n

For two decades, the yellow rescue boats of SeaHelp, Europe’s largest nautical breakdown service, have been reliably on hand when a vacation cruise has not gone as planned, despite careful preparation.<\/p>\n

Specifically, the Sea-Help emergency teams have been reliably available around the clock since May 1, 2005, which is exactly 20 years, 1 month, and 6 days, or a total of 7,342 days or 176,208 hours, during which \u2013 similar to roadside assistance provided by organizations such as the ADAC (Germany) and \u00d6AMTC (Austria), providing fast and professional assistance on the water, even for non-members; however, SeaHelp members<\/a> have priority and do not have to pay for the services.<\/p>\n

Please note:<\/strong> Exceptionally, there will be no SeaHelp service from Friday, June 6 through Sunday, June 8, 2025<\/strong><\/h2>\n

This will of course be celebrated in style:<\/strong> to anniversary celebration on Pentecost Saturday (June 7, 2025) at the SeaHelp headquarters in Punat, Croatia<\/strong><\/a>. For SeaHelp members arriving on their own boats, 15 free berths are available. Please register in advance, as places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.<\/p>\n

However, as all SeaHelp emergency teams will be off duty for the anniversary celebrations, there will be no service from Friday, June 6, through Sunday, June 8, 2025. Please note: this also applies to the helpline, which will not be staffed during this time. Because then it’s “back to the roots” in Punat for three days.<\/strong><\/div>\n

Dauser d.o.o. was founded in 2005, and since 2008 the nautical breakdown service has been operating under the name SeaHelp.<\/h2>\n

There are currently 31 bases across Europe with powerful and specially equipped rescue boats: on the German Baltic Sea coast, in Croatia, Slovenia, on the Italian Adriatic coast, in the Balearic Islands, on the Costa Brava, in the Netherlands, and on Lake Garda. However, the “home turf” with the most bases and the most members is the Croatian Adriatic coast.<\/p>\n

“Dauser d.o.o. was founded in 2005 as the first European organization of its kind,”<\/em> says Managing Director Wolfgang Dauser, adding that the company was renamed SeaHelp in 2008. In the years that followed, SeaHelp evolved from a pure breakdown service for recreational boats into an institution that represents the interests of water sports enthusiasts on a broad level and also advocates for their concerns at the political level, Wolfgang Dauser continues.<\/p>\n
