In Croatia, in addition to the tourist tax, there is a “fee for safety of navigation” – also for dinghies longer than 2.5 meters or over 5 kW. This fee is sometimes called a vignette. Owners of vessels flying the Croatian flag receive an invoice by mail, and all others must pay it at port captains. For boat who are not under the Croatian flag, Sea Help offers an online vignette payment service.

In Croatia, liability insurance is mandatory for all vessels with an engine power of 15 KW (20.39 hp) and more. Insurance document (proof of insurance) must always be on board.
We also recommend liability insurance for vessels with smaller engines.
Here you can request a non-binding insurance offer from SeaHelp Insurance GmbH free of charge, quickly and easily.
Although the tourist tax can now be paid online, shipowners who have a berth in Croatia, German and Austrian citizens still do not have access to pay the vignette online. SeaHelp offers this type of service through SeaHelp partner Mandinus d.o.o., at a very low cost. This way of paying the vignette saves your nerves, unnecessary visits and waiting in front of the Harbor Master’s Office and avoids unnecessary contacts that are very important during a pandemic.
New SeaHelp service: Here you can sign up for online vignette payment.
