Cancelled! Internautica at Marina Portroz from 5 to 8 May 2022 is canceled

Internautica 2022 in Marina Portoroz / Slovenia - CANCELLED
Internautica 2022 in Marina Portoroz which was to take place from 5 to 8 May 2022 has been cancelled.

One of the first nautical fairs in attendance format – the Internautica 2022 in Marina Portoroz – was scheduled to open its doors from May 5-8, 2022. Now it has been canceled. However, interested parties can alternatively already visit SeaHelp at the Palma Boat Show from 28.4. to 1.5. at booth C59, new members save ten percent.

The anticipation was great: finally once again a boat show as a presence event: the prestigious Internautica in the Marina Portoroz was to be held from 5 to 8 May 2022 as a “normal boat show” with an audience on site. SeaHelp had also firmly planned to participate.

In the run-up to the event, the organizer had still been optimistic: “If the pandemic measures are not tightened again, we are pleased to announce that the International Boat Show Internautica will indeed take place in May of this year,” it still said in a press release announcing the show in attendance format.

Cancellation due to insufficient number of exhibitors and lack of program

But now, unfortunately, nothing comes of it. “We are sorry to inform you that due to the insufficient number of exhibitors and the lack of exhibition programs and content, we have decided to cancel the organization of this year’s Internautica Boat Show in Portorož,” wrote the president of the National Marine Association SIMA and founder of Internautica, Jurij Korenc, on 15. 4.2022 on internautica.org, the show’s official website.

Korenc understands that the “complexity of the international economic and political situation,” which “obviously has an increasing impact on the nautical industry,” has discouraged many exhibitors from participating. Organizing and running such a project, he said, meant “a great responsibility to business partners, exhibitors and, last but not least, visitors.”

Exhibition management hopes there will be another Internautica in the coming years

The Internautica boss believes that “if the general conditions regarding content, exhibition program and number of exhibitors are not met, there is no possibility” of holding an event of the quality offered. However, Korenc hopes that “in the coming years” there will again be a boat show that will meet these international quality standards.

Apart from Internautica, however, the situation for presence boat shows in general is beginning to return to normal. A good example of this is the Palma Boat Show (with superyacht section), which will run again at the beginning of the season from April 28 to May 1, 2022, in Palma’s Moll Vell harbor.

SeaHelp will be present with its own stand at the Palma Boat Show, new members save

Europe’s largest nautical breakdown service SeaHelp is also using the Palma show to provide professional information and advice to prospective customers and members at its own stand (number C59). SeaHelp employees Karol Vojtech, Robert Perger and Simon Perger will be on site throughout the trade fair.

The experts advise among other things over the advantages of the insurance protection for yachts over the favorable SeaHelp Insurance and compute when desired locally noncommittal premiums – immediately also with a so-called engine breakage clause. Who decides to put on the fair a SeaHelp membership application, cash saves: New members receive a discount of ten per cent on the first annual membership fee.
