Since Germany generally requires a Corona test for all those who have not yet been vaccinated or have not yet recovered and this test must already be carried when crossing the border, i.e. when entering Germany, holidaymakers in Croatia in particular are wondering where the relevant test centers in Croatia are located at their vacation destination and what costs they will incur for a Corona test. We have compiled an overview here with the most important links to the Corona test centers in Croatia, because it is not always obvious at first glance where to get the coveted tests for the return trip to Germany.
Valid only in German or English
Basically, however, one thing: If you get tested in Croatia at a Corona test center, you should make sure that the results are translated into German or English. This incurs little additional cost, but certificates in Croatian are not accepted at the German border.
Not older than 48 hours upon entering Germany
.
Speaking of costs: In many tourist facilities, the Corona tests are offered free of charge, elsewhere can be charged for it even up to 25 euros (antigen test). PCR tests are correspondingly more expensive. Very important, however, in addition to the correct language (German or English) in the certificates: The antigen test must not be older than 48 hours when entering Germany, the PCR test must not be older than 72 hours.
Controls at the borders
However, one should not take the testing requirement on entry lightly, as random checks were already taking place on the first day the entry regulation came into effect. And since this regulation already applies to all persons who have reached the age of 12, but the majority of young people in Germany are not yet vaccinated, it should affect far more holidaymakers than suspected at first glance.
