One of the most important season-opening trade fairs in spring is the Palma International Boat Show (PIBS, with a superyacht forum for the first time), which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year and runs from 25 to 28 April 2024 in Palma’s Moll Vell harbour. SeaHelp will be on site with its own stand to provide advice, and new members will save ten per cent on their first annual membership fee. The first ten existing SeaHelp members receive free entry.

For many water sports enthusiasts, the Palma International Boat Show (PIBS) in Palma’s harbour “Moll Vell” is a fixed date in the diary at the start of the season. This year, it will be particularly worthwhile to visit the Balearic island of Mallorca, as the in-water boat show will be celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2024 from Thursday 25 to Sunday 28 April with many specials and special events.

For the first time, the PIBS will also host the International Superyacht Forum of the Balearic Islands

These include the first International Superyacht Forum of the Balearic Islands, organised by the Balearic Marine Cluster in collaboration with The Superyacht Group, which will take place on 24 and 25 April. “Palma will bring together superyacht professionals, experts and enthusiasts in a dynamic event where the most important aspects that will determine the future of the sector will be discussed,” promises the PIB’s exhibition management.

Organised by the Institute for Business Innovation (IDI) and the Balearic Yacht Brokers Association (BYBA), the International Boat Show in Palma has long since become an important European hub for leisure boating, bringing together more than 270 companies each year (2023: 271, 2022: 276), which present around 250 current boat models (2023, 2022: 264) in their natural element, the water.

In addition to new boats and yachts, superyachts are also traditionally exhibited at the Palma International Boat Show

In addition to new boats and yachts, equipment and nautical services, the show also offers a large exhibition of superyachts, i.e. yachts with a length of over 24 to 60 metres, as well as an area for boat repair and maintenance companies.
Other sectors presenting their services over the five days of the fair include electronics, navigation and communication systems, nautical equipment, water sports, marinas, marine engines and generators, jet skis and quads as well as providers of nautical tourism services.

The experts from SeaHelp will be providing information about sailing areas and advice on insurance issues at their own stand number B-27

Europe’s largest nautical breakdown service SeaHelp also traditionally uses the trade fair in Palma to provide interested parties and members with professional information and advice at its own stand (number B-27) for the entire duration of the trade fair.

Among other things, the experts will provide advice on the benefits of insurance cover for yachts via the favourable SeaHelp insurance and will calculate premiums on site without obligation on request. Anyone who decides to submit a SeaHelp membership application at the trade fair will save money: New members receive a discount of ten percent on their first annual membership fee.
