The countdown for the world’s largest yacht and water sports fair is on. Sport skippers from the German-speaking region should already mark the date in the calendar red – and not only because Europe’s largest breakdown service at sea, SeaHelp, will again be represented with its own large stand.
According to its own statements, boot Düsseldorf 2024 is heading for a top result. Many of the international market leaders will be back on board from Jan. 20-28, the show’s management promises, and the world’s largest yacht and watersports show is building on its “excellent pre-pandemic result.”
Boat as world’s leading industry show
“We have had very successful discussions with manufacturers over the summer months and are experiencing great enthusiasm and anticipation for boot 2024. We will also be able to welcome back brands that had taken a break this year in January,” says Wolfram Diener, head of the trade fair. In particular, he said, a “very high internationality of exhibitors” is emerging. This means that boot is once again positioning itself as the “world’s leading trade fair for the sector”.
In 16 exhibition halls there is an abundance of motor boats with classical and alternative drives to see, luxury yachts of prominent manufacturers, sail yachts – from the dinghy to the large yacht, dipping accessories, Kanus and kayaks, boards, houseboats and in the Destination Seaside the whole range of dream vacation areas at the water. SeaHelp has already completed a virtual tour in advance and gives tips for the individual areas of the exhibition.
Diving in Hall 12
In addition to boats, diving is traditionally a pillar of boot and is located in part of Halls 11 and 13, as well as in Hall 12. “Diving enthusiasts will find everything their heart desires here, and everything that has rank and name in the industry will show up here. Instructors provide information on how to get started in underwater sports and advise on the purchase of suitable equipment or suitable diving destinations,” says Christian Hruschka, responsible for diving, technology and tourism in the boot team.
Those who want to get a taste of open water before their first dive can dive into the beginners’ pool at boot. For more experienced athletes with a license, they can go to the futuristic diving tower, which was recently inaugurated at boot 2023.
boot Düsseldorf: trendsetter in wingsurfing, wing- and pump-oiling
The boot becomes a trendsetter when it comes to surfing. Here it shows, completely at the pulse of the time, the latest sports on the water. At the upcoming boot, the active have wing- and pumpfoiling as well as wingsurfing in focus and will fly or glide over the water.
On the 60-meter pool in Hall 17, the pros will show what they can do. And if you want to test it yourself, you can book your personal surf slot on the boot.de site from December. “Boards and the whole range of accessories are also available in Hall 17, of course, because the well-known manufacturers and dealers of the surf and SUP industry will be there and show the latest trend boards,” says Caroline Mühl, surf expert in the boot team.
Pro ocean protection: sustainability forum blue innovation-dock in hall 10 – ocean tribute award and love your ocean campaign
Marine conservation and innovative, sustainable technologies are also to be the focus at boot 2024. Following its successful launch at boot 2023, the blue innovation-dock (bid/Hall 10) aims to further establish itself as a sustainability forum. In cooperation with the European Boating Industry (EBI), a “unique dialogue format with political, economic, technological and media expertise is to be created here.”
“As a child of boot, the blue innovation dock is a real innovation driver”, says boot director Petros Michelidakis. In addition, with the presentation of the prestigious “ocean tribute” award and the “love your ocean” campaign, jointly organized with the German Ocean Foundation, two beacons for marine conservation would again be on board.
Nine trade fair days, many premieres
The Halls 1 to 4 are reserved for small to medium-sized (up to a maximum of 20 meters) motorboats, fishing boats and boats with electric propulsion. There will again be a special meeting place for anglers in Hall 3 with the Sportfishing Center.
In Superboat Hall 5, the market leaders for luxury tenders and shadowboats will be on board. This is followed by the luxury yachts in a presentation form and density unique in the world in the exclusive marina of Hall 6. In Hall 7a the superyacht manufacturers are present with information booths, as their yachts are simply too big for exhibition halls.
The Halls 9 and 10 are the Silicon Valley of boot. The latest technological developments for boating and drives of all sizes and classes both small and large ribs make the heart of technology fans beat faster.
In the Hall 11 there is everything at useful accessories, which boat woman or – man on board needs. Marine conservation is also moving back into Hall 11 with the love your ocean stand and the NGOs involved, and at the request of many boot fans, Water Pixel World will also be returning there. In addition, the diving section will start in Hall 11 and continue in Hall 12 and part of Hall 13.
There and in the adjacent Destination Seaside, diving and vacation regions from all over the world invite visitors to dream. The presentation of houseboats and international charter providers is another highlight in Hall 13. In addition, there will be services and advice on all aspects of investing in yachts and yacht owner programs.
Hall 14 is the meeting place for canoeing and kayaking enthusiasts with the World of Paddling and the wildly romantic water course. The attractive combination of the vacation forms caravanning and water sports will also be shown here.
The Halls 15 and 16 are the sailing center of boot 2024 and shine with the Multihall Village and renowned international manufacturers who will present a wide range for all sailing sports enthusiasts, from dinghies to large yachts.
“The sailing halls at boot are once again a true reflection of the market and next year we will also be able to welcome here the manufacturers who have suspended this year. We can look forward to yachts up to 70 feet”, says Arne von Heimendahl, who is the expert for powerboats and sailing yachts in the boot team.
With the trend sport in the Hall 17 closes the tour of the 16 exhibition halls of boot Düsseldorf 2024.
