Meet the Team: SeaHelp celebrates its 20th anniversary, celebrate with us!

SeaHelp feiert 20-jähriges Jubiläum

SeaHelp, Europe’s largest breakdown and recovery service for pleasure boating to provide assistance in non-life-threatening situations, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. On June 7, 2025, all SeaHelp members, with or without a boat, are cordially invited to attend at the SeaHelp headquarters in Punat, Croatia!

For two decades, the yellow rescue boats of SeaHelp, Europe’s largest nautical breakdown service, have been reliably on the scene when a holiday cruise has not gone as planned, despite careful preparation.

Analogous to the breakdown service on the road, such as the ADAC (D) and ÖAMTC (A), fast and professional assistance on the water has been offered since 2005 – also for non-members, by the way; however, SeaHelp members, however, have priority and do not have to pay for the operations.

Currently, there are 31 bases throughout Europe with powerful and specially equipped rescue boats: on the German Baltic Sea coast, in Croatia, Slovenia, on the Italian Adriatic coast, on the Balearic Islands, on the Costa Brava, in the Netherlands and on Lake Garda, but the “home territory” with the most bases and the most members is the Croatian Adriatic coast.

Dauser d.o.o. was founded in 2005, and the nautical breakdown service has been operating under the name SeaHelp

“Dauser d.o.o. was founded in 2005 as the first European organization of its kind”, says managing director Wolfgang Dauser, who then went on to say that the company was renamed SeaHelp in 2008. In the following years, SeaHelp has developed from a pure breakdown service for pleasure boats into an institution that represents the interests of water sports enthusiasts on a broad level and also advocates for their concerns at the political level, Wolfgang Dauser continues.

Please note: SeaHelp members are also cordially invited to the anniversary celebration on Whitsun Saturday (7 June 2025) at the SeaHelp headquarters in Punat, Croatia. For SeaHelp members arriving on their own keel, 15 free berths are available. Please register by email to: office@sea-help.eu). The berths will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Those who want to can board one of the yellow, powerfully motorized rescue boats or take part in a life raft demonstration.

Program (selection): from 2 p.m. Welcome and statements by politicians, blessing of the four rescue boats and the Sea-Help crews present, honoring of long-standing employees, 3 p.m. opening of the buffet (food and drinks are free for guests), there will be live music with entertainment, games, and raffles.

If you want, you can talk to the emergency services present, take a ride on one of the modern, yellow emergency boats and feel what it feels like to rush across the water at 50 knots yourself, or take part in a life raft demonstration.

More information:

The party tent is located in the center of Punat, opposite the port office on the new pier.
